Replacement of Walkway Decking at Lock 26 -Lakefield

Parks Canada would like to inform visitors and community members that access across the lock gates at Lock 26 – Lakefield will be closed to pedestrian traffic beginning Monday, December 2, 2024, until further notice. This closure is required to replace the lock gate walkway decking over the winter months.

Signage will be in place to advise residents and visitors of the closure. Pedestrians are advised to use Bridge and Hill Streets to access the island if needed.
